We just need to get rid of the safety rules for cars in the US. I think at least 2 seats or less anything should go, like a motorcycle. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be able to drive the new Lotus Elise in America “land of the free”. If I can ride a motorcycle I should be able to purchase a Lotus. It’s ridiculous hypocrisy. It’s also funny that I can have a kit car, no problem, that is even less safe than an Elise and have it be perfectly legal to daily drive. 

Really I think it should be abolished all together but people will daily drive with their kids in something unsafe . Which is funny because when I was a kid I rode on the back of my dad’s and my grandfather’s motorcycle. But whatever.

It’s odd that we don’t have this. If we’ve got mid engined road cars, why not this? It's far less of an engineering challenge surely.
